Online relationship is a dating system, which allows individuals, couples and groups to make contact and communicate with each other over the Internet, usually with the objective of developing a personal, romantic, or sexual relationship.
The creation of the Internet and its progressive innovations have opened up doors for people to meet other people who they may very well have never met otherwise.
Before entering online dating services member require provide his personal information such as age range, gender, description and location. When we log on to some website we are surrounded by age appropriate singles every time.
People no longer need to search on the streets to find casual relationships. They can find them online, if that is what they desire. Instead of paying for sexual favors and “love” on the streets with the risk of being arrested, publicly humiliated, or catching sexually transmitted diseases, internet dating websites offer matchmaking services for people to find love or whatever else they may be looking for. On the large online dating websites such as (www.match.com or http://www.pof.com) you can find him/her to match your own taste quicker then you can do it in real life, so that’s why online dating websites give a good opportunity for people who uncomfortable in public, even talk to the person he find himself interesting, that’s why using the biggest dating website makes them easer to find they second half.
I know some of my good girls friends over in Russia, who was using online dating website just to meet man from other country and if the relationship would be successful, to move away with him and completely leave they own country.
Some people who are in an online relationship also participate in cybersex, which is a virtual sex encounter in which two or more people who are connected remotely via computer network send each other sexually explicit messages describing a sexual experience. The term “Internet Relationship” also refers to a connection between two or more individuals based on friendship, business, etc…
Here is a good example of an online relatonship.
In the article “Virtual Love”, Meghan Daum describes how a single email led her to fall in love with a man named Pete, whom she had only communicated with over emails and through the telephone. When the two finally meet and begin to spend quality time with each other, Daum begins to notice that there was no common ground between the two of them when they were together in person. The relationship that the two of them had shared and enjoyed was only visible through a computer screen and heard through a telephone. The online relationship that Meghan experiences with Pete is soon shattered when they meet person-to-person for the first time, and reality kicks in for both of them, leading them to discontinue their relationship in the end.
In my own opinion online dating is old and many people have tried it; some have been satisfied and some not. For example I find online relationship pointless and waste of time, because People often write vague or dishonest profiles hoping to attract as many prospects as possible and also I’m not 100% sure that the person I’m talking to is her, not some sick mad man, who enjoys talk to the young lads. I don’t have time to sit online and try to find a relationship, dating website are very addictive and I certainly don’t have time for it, I also think that is maybe because I’m still young and because I’m not ready for long relationship, but still I don’t have a problem to meet girl who I’m interested in public.
The Internet is an illusion of meeting. Each person is different and they do what they think is right; when it comes to me I’m against online relationship.
